Sutton Coldfield pay 'moment of madness' in cup exit

CHRIS Keogh admitted “a moment of madness” cost Sutton Coldfield Town in their midweek Evo-Stik Challenge Cup exit to Newcastle Town.
Midfielder Craig Milligan was red-carded for retaliation after being caught by an elbow but it left the Royals having to play an hour with ten men. Sutton still managed to snatch a last-minute equaliser, and then went ahead in extra time, only to concede in a 3-3 draw and then bow out on penalties.
Keogh said: “It was a mad thing for Craig to do – he’s not that sort of player but it cost us,” said Keogh.
“It was an excellent performance.”
Sutton today face Glapwell at Coles Lane, with a full-strength squad.
