Solihull Moors looking to bounce back to boost play-offs push

SOLIHULL Moors are determined not to let back-to-back defeats derail their promotion charge as they face another vital week of Blue Square Bet North football.

The Moors remain fifth in the table, despite falling to a 1-0 defeat at fellow play-off contenders Guiseley on Saturday.

But they will want to bounce back tomorrow when they head to Redditch United before welcoming title favourites Alfreton Town to Damson Park on Saturday.

Moors, who had been unbeaten in 18 games before last Monday’s defeat at Alfreton, and Guiseley proved to be equally matched sides, with both creating chances.

Moors’ winger Ryan Beswick was denied by a diving save from Steven Drench, while Solihull No.1 Jas Singh produced a one-handed stop to keep out Danny Forrest’s goalbound shot.

But on-loan Barrow forward Forrest had the final word when he struck 15 minutes from time, sending a left-foot shot into the top corner.
