MICKY Moore insists there will be no panic moves after Solihull Moors’ push for a history-making play-off place has stuttered with back-to-back defeats.
The Moors, who still lie fifth in the Blue Square Bet North table, bid to bounce back tonight when they head to relegated Redditch.
“You don’t become a bad side in a week,” said assistant boss Moore. “We’ve still only lost twice in 20 games.
“We’ve got to keep our cool and not panic. We’ve got to keep doing what we’re doing and maybe just tweak one or two things.
“We’ve got six games left and there’s an awful lot to play for.”
Solihull, who are four points ahead of Guiseley having played two more games, will be forced into at least two changes for the match at the Valley Stadium.
Nick Green will have a scan on a knee injury and faces two weeks on the sidelines while a knee problem will rule out Joe Clarke against his old side.
Sam Adkins (ankle) and Ryan Beswick (calf) also face fitness tests so Lee Ayres, Emeke Omwubika, Joel Grandison and Ross Dempster all come into contention.
Redditch are ready to hand deadline signing Jamal Geathers a belated debut as they bid claim only their third win of the season.
the 23-year-old, a US under-19 international, comes with a highly impressive goal-a-game average in the States and then in Italy’s Serie C before coming to England and joining Manchester Gregorians at the end of the year.
“Jamal is a bit of an unknown quantity but we’ll have a look at him,” said manager Simon Redhead. “He was unavailable on Saturday but he comes into contention.”
The Reds expect to be without Brad Bullimore (ankle) while Simon Brown is rated a doubt after being laid low with illness.
n Boldmere St Michaels have been told to play tonight’s Polymac Services League Cup semi-final second leg as one-off decider, despite taking a 2-0 first leg lead into the contest.
The Mikes won 2-0 at Loughborough University last month but boss Rob Mallaband says they cannot take anything for granted.
“The approach is simple: we have go out and win the game,” he said.
