Neil Kitching urges Rushall Olympic to target two more wins for play-offs

RUSHALL Olympic boss Neil Kitching says he has had to revise his play-off points target because of the increasingly competitive league battle.

The fourth-placed Pics head to fellow play-off contenders Carlton Town today on the back of an eight-match unbeaten run.

But the clubs around them have also kept up their winning form and Kitching admits the scrap is set to continue to the last game of the season.

“Looking at the results and the fixtures to come I think you are going to need 79 points to get into the play-offs,” said Kitching.

“That figure has probably increased from what I had thought because of everybody’s form.

“We’ve got 74 points with four games left and we just need to keep doing what we’ve been doing. It would be a massive achievement to get into the play-offs, especially after having to rebuild the squad.”
