SHAUN Cunnington has warned the owners of Halesowen Town that the club cannot afford another summer of uncertainty.
The Yeltz will today be relegated from the Zamaretto Premier if they fail to claim three points in their away fixture at Didcot Town. If Weymouth at least draw, however, at home to Hednesford Town, they will be down any way.
Manager Cunnington, who has manfully battled to keep financially-crippled Halesowen afloat, says it is vital the owners, Godfrey and Graham Ingram, decide the next step quickly. Chairman Graham Ingram has indicated they have been talking to possible new consortia.
“I think there’s some interest in the football club but we will have to wait and see,” said Cunnington.
“The important thing is that the hard work will start after our last game and things need to be sorted out for next year. Otherwise, the football club will be in the same situation next season.”
Cunnington hopes to have Anthony Bruce available for today’s trip to third-from-bottom Didcot after a knee injury.
