England Sevens star Rob Thirlby to join Moseley
May 13 2009 by Brian Dick, Birmingham Mail
MOSELEY will today announce the signing of former England Sevens full-back Rob Thirlby. The 30-year-old joins from National Two side Redruth and is the club’s first major signing of the summer.
Thirlby arrives with an outstanding pedigree having played Premiership rugby with Saracens, Bath and Gloucester as well as being the third most capped Sevens player, with 35 appearances in the IRB Series. He comes to replace veteran Andy Binns, who has retired having helped the club secure a place in next season’s Championship.
