Moseley youngster Jonny May tipped for bright future

NEIL Mason has predicted a bright future for mercurial centre Jonny May, whose scintillating individual try was the difference between Moseley and yet another defeat.
Although May’s performance once more oscillated between good and bad, Mr Consistent Mason insisted no-one else would have scored the 80-metre breakaway try May produced early in the second half.
The 19-year-old scorched up the left touchline without a hand being laid on him to give Mose what turned out to be a much needed 16-point lead.
And although he was sin-binned when his side came under pressure late in the game, Mason sees enough in the former Hartpury three-quarter to suggest he could be a replacement for Jack Adams.
“Jonny is a great talent,” Mason said.
“He will follow in the footsteps of some of the other Gloucester 13s we have had at the club.
“But at the time he’s ours he’s great to watch and great to have in the team. The one thing all those boys have is that extra bit of sparkle.”
Indeed, all of Moseley’s points were scored by their dual registered starlets.
Tristan Roberts kicked all six of his shots at goal.
And scrum-half Jordi Pasqualin grabbed his team’s other try with an outrageous dummy and searing run to the line in the first half.
