Moseley boss hopes win will be springboard for season

KEVIN Maggs wants Moseley to use Saturday’s win over Bristol as a springboard for the rest of the season.

The Red and Blacks upset the Championship leaders 33-27 at Billesley Common to secure their second league win.

But they are still in the bottom four and in danger of a third straight relegation battle unless they build on the Bristol result.

“It’s important now it’s not just one win and then four weeks off,” head coach Maggs said.

“We have got a B&I Cup game now, which is not ideal, but it will give some of the other lads the chance to push their claims to face Bedford and an opportunity to rest some guys.

“There is no reason why we can’t go to Bedford full of confidence. If you look at the results over the last couple of weeks anybody can beat anybody. We should have beaten Leeds and Plymouth and maybe won a couple of others as well.”

Moseley face Cross Keys in the British & Irish Cup on Saturday looking for their third straight win in the second-string competition. Jack Adams could be fit.
