Stour shuffle their pack

STOURBRIDGE attempt to reinforce their National Two promotion credentials tomorrow when they entertain next-to-bottom Barking at Stourton.

They make a string of changes from the side who lost to North Walsahm last week in the EDF Trophy.

Spokesman Ian Cole said: "The cup isn't a priority at this stage of the season. We used a number of players from our Development Squad and were very encouraged by what we saw."

Stour revert to the back-row trio of Scott Witcomb, Jim Jenner and Tom Jordan, while Bob Merrett and Ben Gerry boost the back division.

They have also taken Moseley fly-half Chris Buck on loan to replace long-term injury victim Sam Robinson.

That enables Matt Williams a return to his preferred position at full-back.

Following consecutive defeats against Henley and Wharfedale, Stour have slipped back to fourth place in National Two and Cole added: "The next month will be critical as to whether we will feature in the promotion stakes or not."
