Relaxed Stourbridge in mood to succeed

STOURBRIDGE will be relaxing in a hotel near Blaydon tonight to make sure they are well rested for tomorrow's National Two clash at the North East club.

Blaydon, promoted last season, have established themselves in the bottom half of the division and just to make sure have taken three players from Premiership Newcastle on loan.

Stour are in the second promotion spot and looking good to move up to National One for the first time in their history with their destiny currently in their own hands.

Stour back row Jim Jenner is looking forward to the challenge. He said: "We are in a strong position but there are a lot of hard games ahead. We are proud of what we have achieved so far this season and we are aware of the size of the challenge. There is no complacency in the squad."

Jenner believes that the club is ready for the step up and has players who can make the transition, such as young fly-half Sam Robinson who is improving game by game.

He said: We have a lot of players here who are capable of making a name for themselves in National One."
