No excuses, Stourbridge are told

STOURBRIDGE players have been warned there will be no excuses this week if they fail to open their National Two account with a first win of the season against Mounts Bay at Stourton Park tomorrow.
Stourbridge launched their campaign with successive defeats against Cambridge and at Birmingham & Solihull but forwards’ coach John White says they can be excused because both of their opponents have invested heavily in their squads during the summer.
But the same does not apply to Penzance-based Mounts Bay, who continued their climb through the leagues by winning promotion from National Three South last season.
“This week we will be playing on what we consider to be more of a level playing field so it’s up to us to produce,” said White.
Stourbridge will be without flanker Tom Jordan and lock Ben Hughes, but centre Adam Billig is expected to be fit.
Fly-half Sam Robinson again misses out because he is still recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury.
