Pressure is off for Worcester Warriors in France

WORCESTER Warriors run out against Montauban in South West France tonight secure in the knowledge they are already through to the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup.

Despite still searching for their first win in the Premiership, the Warriors have found their feet in Europe with four wins out of four playing with an element of flair which has even seen No.10 Shane Drahm pop up as third leading points scorer in the competition and joint leader in goalkicking with 17.

Drahm has 43 points, three behind leader Charlie Hodgson of Sale.

Rico Gear, with just two matches to his name in the competition - both against GRAN Parma - is joint leading try scorer with four.

Eight points clear at the top of Pool 2, it will take a disaster of Biblical proportions for the Warriors not to top the group after their remaining two matches against Montauban and then Romanian outfit Bucuresti at Sixways.

So far the Warriors have rattled in 175 points in four matches with 42 against, with a 41-18 win over the French outfit at Sixways in November in their only previous meeting.
