Worcester League - Ten out of ten for Eastnor's Shahid

EASTNOR paceman Shahid destroyed bottom side Netherton as he took all 10 wickets for just 33 runs as the Black Country side were skittled out for just 72.

The leaders knocked off the required total with three wickets down.

Second-placed Stourbridge though had a close run thing against visitors Astwood Bank who were bundled out for just 133 with Hamza Nadeem taking four for 28.

What seemed a simple task seemed to be far from the case though as Stour scraped home at 134 for nine as Jon Summers rattled them with five for 33.

Bromyard slipped back into third with a six-wicket defeat at Pershore.

South African Barry Rhodes helped them to 178 for eight with 66 but Pershore skipper Lee Wilks hit an unbeaten 72 to see his side home.

Fourth-placed Worcester Nomads closed the gap with a winning draw in their local derby against Worcester.

Visitors Nomads ran up the best total of the day with 301 for nine with Damon Garrif hitting 56.

But it was only good enough for a winning draw as the home side hung on at 187 for nine.

Second-bottom Droitwich also had to hang on after limiting third-bottom Oldswinford to 154 for nine with Wayne Brigdale hitting 62 not out and Mike Rogers taking five for 32.

Droitwich were then reduced to 90 for eight with James Holloway taking four for 30.

In the mid-table clash, Redditch reached 166 all out to leave visitors Barnards Green to overtake them with two wickets to spare.
