West Bromwich Albion close in on Marc-Antoine Fortune loan

I also read that in the press,” said Fortune.

“I’m dying to play Premier League football, as it has always been my favourite league.

“Of course, playing for West Brom would be an interesting challenge, but we are yet to start talking with them.

“I’m aware of the fact they aren’t in the ideal position in the league, but if you check the table you’ll see they are only four points behind the 15th-placed team.

“I can see them escaping, and I’d love to be part of that. My agent told me about them and I’m going to call him back to see what’s up with West Brom.

“Plenty of French players have made a name for themselves in The Premier League, which shows me that we are respected in England.”

The 27-year-old has had a disappointing campaign so far with the French Ligue One club.

But the French-Guyanna born forward, who has previously played for Utrecht in Holland, along with French clubs Lille and Brest, feels he can make an impact if his move to England does materialise.

“I’ve been thinking about it, and I’m very motivated. I want to give my best, and helping the club to avoid the drop would be a top challenge,” added Fortune, who had scored 53 League goals in 222 games before the start of this season.

“A loan deal doesn’t scare me because I already experienced it when I was a Lille player. And being there for six months would help me show what I can do in English football.”
