Carson: Playing ugly could be a winning formula for West Brom

SCOTT Carson insists Albion need to better their performance at Middlesbrough to stand any chance of winning at Preston North End.
The Baggies head into the top-of-the-table clash against third-placed North End with Tuesday night’s defeat to Barnsley still very fresh in everyone’s mind.
Carson believes Albion need to wise-up to the demands of the Championship and, if necessary, find a way of winning “ugly”.
He feels that the trip to Deepdale will represent one of the club’s biggest challenges yet.
And he wants to see a repeat of the performance which Albion produced at the Riverside a fortnight ago, when they beat Middlesbrough 5-0.
“We need to try and bully teams a bit more, put some big tackles in early, just to give people a lift,” said the Baggies skipper. “We need to make sure we can’t be bullied.
