Scott Carson: My sending off let West Brom down

SCOTT Carson will help Dean Kiely during his three-game ban and admitted he will accept whatever punishment is meted out to him by the club.
The Albion skipper could be fined following his dismissal for violent conduct during Tuesday’s defeat by Cardiff.
Carson was still full of remorse as he accompanied other Albion players at their pre-Christmas visit to Russells Hall hospital.
And he has no plans to kick up a fuss if Roberto Di Matteo decides to come down hard on him.
“I have only seen the gaffer briefly but I will speak to him in the next couple of days and apologise to him personally because I feel as if I have let him, the players and everybody down,” said Carson.
“Most of all I think I’ve let myself down.
“People who know me know I just love football and I would never miss a minute’s training, never mind three games, so it’s going to be a difficult couple of weeks.
“There’s nothing I can do and I’m definitely not going to kick up a fuss about anything like that.
“I know what I’ve done and I am big enough to take that on the chin.
“I will just put it to the back of my mind and move on but try to learn from my mistakes.”
Reserve goalkeeper Kiely will step in during Carson’s absence, with the suspended stopper promising to help the 39-year-old during his pre-match warm-ups.
“We’re really good friends,” continued Carson.
“We had a conversation and I will help him out in the next couple of weeks.
“I am going to go to all of the games and warm him up before the games.
“He has done it for me this season, since he took over the coaching as well, so that’s the least I can do for him.
“I thought about it on Tuesday after the game and told him I would do all the warm-ups and go through all the routines on matchday.
“I just want to keep as close to the dressing room as I can and Deano has done it for me all this season. I want to give something back.”
