Marc Albrighton feels heart-broken after Fulham's last gasp leveller

MARC Albrighton added another Villa goal to his collection – but was left “heart-broken” when it again failed to be the winner.
Albrighton ended the claret and blues’ 386-minute Premier League scoring drought with a classy finish to put Villa in front following Barry Bannan’s audacious pass.
But, as at Spurs, when the winger opened the scoring with Villa’s previous last top-flight effort, only to lose 2-1, they were unable to claim three points – this time due to Brede Hangeland’s agonising last-gasp equaliser.
“Everybody’s heart-broken,” he said. “We can’t take it in. We didn’t deserve that one bit. To not get the result at the end was devastating. Even walking off the pitch at the end. It gave us no time to score another goal.
“Everyone’s down in the dumps and we have to go again against Blackpool. It will take a while, but by Monday morning we have to let that go and look forward to the next game.”
Albrighton was delighted with his second senior goal – but was quick to praise former youth team colleague Bannan.
“I needed to add a few more goals,” he added. “That was what let me down in the last couple of seasons in the reserves. Hopefully the goals are going to come now. We’ve every faith in each other as young players. Barry slotted straight in and played some world-class balls. He kept it moving against some experienced players.”
