Gabby Agbonlahor is gunning for goals after "most annoying spell" of his Aston Villa career

GABBY Agbonlahor is gunning to start a scoring streak against Arsenal after describing his injury-plagued early season as the “most annoying spell of my career”.
Agbonlahor has struggled to get up and running this term since back and hamstring trouble sidelined him for the kick-off and a month of Gerard Houllier’s reign.
But the Brummie striker recently pledged his future to his boyhood club by signing a contract to keep him at Villa until the summer of 2015.
And Agbonlahor is determined to make up for lost time by adding to the solitary goal he has scored – in the Europa League defeat to Rapid Vienna – this season.
“It’s been frustrating,” he said. “I didn’t start the first game of the season.
“You know it’s going to be a frustrating start to the campaign when that happens, but I feel good now.
“I want to stay fit, keep playing and keep my place in the team. It’s been the most annoying spell of my career so far. I’ve never been one to have many injuries. Maybe I was due one.
“It was frustrating because I’ve never been out for that spell of time before. Rehab is not easy and getting yourself back fit is not easy either. It was hard but I’m back now.
