Odemwingie believes Albion's form could be set to return

Peter Odemwingie

PETER Odemwingie hopes that brain-storming meetings will help restore Albion’s flagging form and belief.

The Nigerian revealed that the Albion players had frank and open discussions every Tuesday to discuss the previous game and look ahead to the next match.

He believes that a lack of belief and confidence has blighted Albion’s campaign in recent weeks – citing occasions where players have dithered in the final third rather than be more decisive.

But Odemwingie is confident that the good-natured meetings will restore some of the confidence which has seemingly been absent in recent weeks – starting with tomorrow’s game at Everton.

“We had a chat among ourselves to remind ourselves of our targets,” he said.

“We had an open discussion about how we feel as a team, how we can correct the situation and start winning.

“Team spirit is still there, we’ve had no quarrels but we’ve discussed things to try to get back to where we were.

“What came out is that we need to believe more when we get half-chances.

“We need to show more ambition as we used to.

“Now we’ve become more patient and have lacked belief. We need to look for the goal more.
