Paul Scharner - Form means nothing with West Brom facing two derbies
Dec 7 2010 by Bill Howell, Birmingham Mail

PAUL Scharner says West Brom's buoyant form after back-to-back league wins will count for nothing at Villa Park this Saturday.
The Baggies head into the first of two crucial derbies against Villa and Wolves boosted by having Youssouf Mulumbu available after a ban.
But they have not beaten Villa since 1985 and not away from home since 1979, suffering four losses in eight Premier League clashes without a win.
“These games are different. The standing in the table doesn’t count when you play derby games because there is so much in them,” the in-form Austrian said.
“We will celebrate the win over Newcastle for the next one or two days and then we will get focused on the next two games.”
It took Tony Mowbray’s Albion 28 games to get to the 22-point mark two seasons ago, a dozen games more than Roberto Di Matteo’s side.
“It looks like we can stay up,” said Scharner. “It’s true we have exceeded expectations but I am very happy that we surprised everybody and hopefully we can continue what we are doing.
