Birmingham City are seeking a seventh straight victory tomorrow – and revenge.
Success in a crucial Championship fixture against Southampton (5.20pm) would see them equal their best winning sequence for 18 years.
And it would pay back the Saints for inflicting Blues worst defeat of the season, 4-1 at St Mary’s in September.
“When the game finishes it will perhaps be a barometer on where we are from when we played them last time,” said Chris Hughton.
“If we needed any encouragement this weekend from that day then yes, it was probably our worst defeat of the season.
“But in a game where we didn’t start well enough – we lost it in that first half-hour plus – they had four shots on target, scored four goals and we had five real good chances.
