Ronaldo keeps United on course
Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty late in the first half gave Manchester United a 1-0 victory over Everton at Old Trafford.
The result took Sir Alex Ferguson's defending champions five points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League.
Ronaldo, who had hit a post in the first half, fired home from the spot after Michael Carrick had been tripped by Mikel Arteta.
