Swann puts England on top
Graeme Swann launched a remarkable assault on the Australian attack to put England into the ascendancy at the start of the Ashes.
Coming in at number 10, Swann's unbeaten 47 propelled England beyond 400 on the second morning, audaciously breaching that mark with a reverse sweep for four. That was the third of three consecutive boundaries off spinner Nathan Hauritz in an over which cost 16 runs.
England were finally all out for 435 when Monty Panesar edged to Ricky Ponting at second slip.
