Brummies clash bites the dust
BIRMINGHAM'S Premier League fixture at Sheffield last night became another in this season's long list of postponements.
Despite the Owlerton turnstiles being opened, and fans told the meeting was on, remedial work on a heavy surface soaked by this week's deluge proved futile and further rain just before the scheduled 7.45pm start saw the meeting called off.
The Mercom Brummies will be hoping for better luck with the weather this weekend when they travel north to Workington tomorrow night, and then on to Glasgow on Sunday afternoon.
