Moller motivated by sacking

NEW Mercom Brummies recruit Henrik Moller wants to prove a point at Edinburgh tonight.

Birmingham snapped up the talented 21-year-old Dane last week when he was one of three riders surprisingly sacked by the Scottish outfit.

Moller insists Edinburgh's decision could prove to be a blessing in disguise - but he still wants to show the Monarchs' management the error of their ways.

He said: "It will be very different going into the away side in the pits tonight, and not having an Edinburgh race jacket on. But I will be giving it 200 per cent after what happened, that's for certain.

"To be honest, I think Edinburgh may have done me a favour releasing me and I must say thank you to them.

"I have a great feeling about joining Birmingham, I like the track and I believe moving to Perry Barr is going to be the lift I need to really get my career going."

The Brummies go into their first ever meeting at Armadale chasing a third Premier League victory in three nights after Wednesday's home win over Glasgow and last night's success at Redcar.

EDINBURGH: George Stancl, Derek Sneddon, Kaj Laukkanen, Andrew Tully, Kalle Katajisto, Aaron Summers, Matthew Wethers.

BIRMINGHAM: Ulrich Ostergaard, Ben Powell, Jason Lyons, Henrik Moller, Emiliano Sanchez, Lee Smart, Manuel Hauzinger.
