Wolves call in Klindt to face Bees

WOLVERHAMPTON aim to continue their impressive run of form when they face neighbours and reigning champions Coventry at Monmore tonight (7.30pm).

The local derby has vital Elite League points up for grabs and Wolves will be looking for a repeat of their opening-night Craven Shield win over their rivals in March.

In a change to the riding order, Danish sensation Nicolai Klindt - who has been compared to legendary three-times world champion Erik Gundersen in a Sunday newspaper article - moves into the main body of the team with fellow countryman Kenneth Hansen dropping to reserve.

Team manager Peter Adams said: "This is a big meeting for both sides and one which we simply cannot afford to lose.

"Since our home defeat by Lakeside a fortnight ago, when we were caught out by the track, we have shown a tremendous improvement and we need to keep that going on Monday."

In a bid to attract more fans from the younger generation, club bosses have announced that all accompanied children under 12 will be admitted free.

Coventry are without injured duo Oliver Allen and Andreas Messing.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren, Ales Dryml, Niels Kristian Iversen, Nicolai Klindt, David Howe, Christian Hefenbrock, Kenneth Hansen.

COVENTRY: Rory Schlein, Oliver Allen R/R, Chris Harris, Billy Janniro, Simon Stead, Stanislaw Burza, Ben Barker.
