Belle Vue 51 Wolverhampton 49
PETER Adams took the positives from Wolverhampton’s 49-41 defeat at Belle Vue last night, which keeps them at the foot of the Elite League table.
The Monmore men kept it tight for chunks of the meeting and when Belle Vue threatened to pull clear the visitors managed to peg them back.
New signing Morten Risager was impressive and his 5-1 with Nicolai Klindt in Heat 8 brought the scores level.
But boss Adams admits the Parrys International Wolves side lost the meeting in Heats 9 and 10 with two successive maximums for Belle Vue which put them 34-26 ahead.
Said Adams: “You can see where we lost the meeting and that’s a disappointment.
“But Morten Risager was impressive, Nicolai Klindt looked good and David Howe was back on the pace after investing in new machinery. People must remember he’s still carrying a foot injury.”
