Barr Beacon netball team wins its league

'Barr Beacon 'A' and club mascots celebrate winning their division.

BARR Beacon 'A' celebrated their win against Ryland 'B' in their final match of the season in the Birmingham Intermediate Netball League.

The 22-19 victory ensured that the reigning division 3 champions held their position at the top of division 2.

The new division 2 champions had a poor start to the season with two defeats. However, they fought hard to win the rest of their fixtures despite some very closely-contested matches in what has been a very exciting division.

The team is sponsored by Francesco group of Streetly, Aldridge and Tamworth. Barr Beacon Netball club has also benefited from a recent grant from the Local Network Fund.

Barr Beacon Netball club currently runs teams for girls aged 11-15 and welcomes new players. If you would like further information please contact Ann on 07821019599.
