Tennis: Lloyd Glasspool loses to Nottingham Junior ITF winner
LLOYD Glasspool was knocked out of the AEGON Nottingham Junior ITF Under-18 event by eventual winner Dimitri Bretting.
But the Woodrush High student bounced back from his 6-4, 6-2 reverse to make it all the way to the final in the doubles event.
Playing with Joshua Ward-Hibbert the pair came through four rounds, including a revenge victory over Bretting and his partner, before falling at the last hurdle to top seeds Ben Davis and Stefan Sterland-Markovic.
Glasspool’s Edgbaston Priory HPC colleagues Manisha Foster and Celia Fraser have both entered the AEGON British Tour event which runs at the Tipton Tennis Academy from tomorrow until April 17.
