Hull City looking to do a double over Arsenal

Hull are looking to complete a stunning double over Arsenal to book only the second trip to Wembley in their history tomorrow.

The Tigers are hoping to make a swift return to scene of last year's Championship play-off final victory as they take on the Gunners in a delayed FA Cup quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium.

Hull, fighting a relegation battle in the Barclays Premier League, are the rank outsiders of the five teams left in the cup but memories of their shock September win at Arsenal remain fresh.

Goals from Geovanni and Daniel Cousin saw Hull become only the second away team to win at Arsenal's new ground and it proved the first of four successive victories for Phil Brown's men.

Left-back Andy Dawson said: "That was a win that built confidence for us to go on and win two or three after it.

"It set us up for a hell of a start and a repeat of that performance would be very nice. It'll be massive occasion."

Hull's form tailed off after that and they head to London just four points above the bottom three and far from safe in the Premier League.

Hull went three months without a league win before beating Fulham on March 4 but the FA Cup provided some succour throughout that lean period with victories over Newcastle, Millwall and Sheffield United.

Defender Michael Turner said: "It would be fantastic for the fans to go back there [Wembley] after all the emotion of the play-off final.

"It'll be more important to stay in the Premier League but this cup run has done us good. We have had some really positive results and it has kept us going.

"We hadn't won in the league for a while but we won in the cup a couple of times. The morale in the camp has been good but the FA Cup has given us a bit of a boost."
