Liverpool's Jamie Carragher to take first steps into management
Jamie Carragher will get his first taste of football management when he appears in the dug-out for the Hillsborough memorial match at Anfield next month.
The Liverpool defender has made no secret of his ambition to become a manager when he retires from playing, with the Anfield hot-seat high on his wishlist.
Now Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has given Carragher the chance to 'coach' an All Stars side against a Liverpool Legends team in a charity match on May 14.
The game will raise money for the Marina Dalglish Appeal to build a new radiotherapy unit at the University Hospital, Aintree.
Dalglish will manage the Legends, while Carragher will have the help of Phil Thompson and actor Ricky Tomlinson.
