Manchester City hit with transfer request shock

Robinho has told Manchester City he wants to quit Eastlands.

The British record £32.5million signing ­delivered the message through his agent Evandro De Souza in talks with Blues officials yesterday.

City told De Souza they are prepared to sell the Samba star – if they get an acceptable offer.

The Blues won’t be pushed into off-loading Robinho, who is on loan at Santos, for a knockdown price and aim to recoup most of his fee. Despite Besiktas coach Bernd Schuster declaring his interest in Robinho, City have yet to receive an official bid
