Richard Money pays tribute to Crewe set-up

Richard Money

WALSALL manager Richard Money has paid tribute to the back-room set-up of tomorrow's opponents Crewe.

The Gresty Road club has an impressive reputation for producing good young players.

And they have forged it under the supervision of the same man, Dario Gradi, remarkably, for the last 25 years.

If Money emulates Gradi's longevity he is set to stay with the Saddlers until 2031. In the short term he simply wants to plot the downfall tomorrow of a back-room staff he likes and respects.

"Like everyone else in football I'm full of admiration for the way Crewe have done things over the years," said Money. "I like their management team very much.

"They have been very good to me over the years and Neil Baker there was very instrumental in us bringing Clayton Ince to the club.

"It will be another tough game for us tomorrow. They have just lost three games in a row but prior to that had won five or six and they will be very keen to get back on track."

Ince will be aiming to keep his tenth clean sheet of the season against the club for whom he played 123 league games in six years.
