Jimmy Mullen on the look-out for loan stars

Jimmy Mullen

JIMMY Mullen is becoming a globetrotter as he keeps an eye on who is playing who and where.

So for this week he has seen Leicester, Blues, Villa, Manchester United and Albion reserves and has admitted that there is money if needed to bring in loan players.

A striker is his first priority but Mullen said: “I have been quite a distance in the last few days. I have just been having a look in general, seeing what is available

Defence was the frailty last week where lack of experience may have been a factor when skipper Stephen Hughes in midfield and centreback Stephen Roberts went off injured in the second half and Orient capitalised with two gaols.

But with Rhys Weston and Dwayne Mattis back in the fold and Roberts fit again Mullen is satisfied that he has enough know-how at the back to cope.

“Any manager in any division would want four quality strikers to pick from and I am no different to anyone else.

“If I can get that competition up front it will be better for us.”
