Back to work for Jimmy Mullen's glory boys

WALSALL boss Jimmy Mullen knows he has to bring his team back to earth after their Roy of the Rovers, Boy’s Own heroics at Brighton when they not only played with nine men for 75 minutes but still managed to sneak the only goal of the match for a famous victory.
He said: “It is difficult to appreciate the effort and determination and commitment of nine men pulling together to get a result like that.
‘‘Now we want to show people we can put in the same sort of performance at home as we have done on the road.”
Mullen knows Carlisle will be a different proposition and will be looking to bounce back after going down 2-0 at home to Leeds last weekend.
He said: “We have to get down to the nitty gritty again. This is a big game.
‘‘Carlisle are a wounded animal after their defeat against Leeds. From what I have heard they did not deserve to lose 2-0 so obviously they want to bounce back.
“We have to be aware that we have had two fantastic results on the road at Bristol Rovers and at Brighton and we are now at home against a very good side.”
As an added incentive both sides are on 13 points but the Brunton Park side lie sixth while Walsall are seventh and victory will consolidate a place in the play-off positions.
