Walsall 2 Southend 2: report

An injury-time penalty from Sam Parkin saw 10-man Walsall grab a point in a four-goal thriller against Southend at Bescot Stadium.

Steve Jones (11) gave the hosts an early lead, before midfielder Dwayne Mattis was shown a red card on the hour after a second booking.

Lee Barnard (66) and Dougie Freedman (80) put the visitors ahead, only for Parkin to have the final word in stoppage time after being fouled by Southend substitute Lee Sawyer.
