Match Report: NK Nafta 0 West Brom 3

Jonas Olsson celebrates after heading home a corner.

WEST Brom had few problems sweeping aside NK Nafta in their opening pre-season game in Slovenia.

The Baggies were comfortable throughout, despite coming up against a team that was further down the scale with its preparation for the new campaign.

Conditions were not ideal. The grass was too long and the temperatures were still in their 30s despite the tea-time kick-off.

Luke Moore opened the scoring with he and Simon Cox showing a decent understanding early on.

Roberto Di Matteo’s men started the scoring when Moore dummied Marek Cech’s pass leaving it for Simon Cox. The ex-Villa man peeled away and raced onto Cox’s return, slotting a low shot past Ales Luk.

Albion should have added more. Marek Cech’s flick was scrambled away, while Moore’s close-range shot was beaten away by the NK keeper.

The second finally arrived from Jonathan Greening, potentially playing for the final time if Fulham, or anyone else for that matter, agree a fee with Albion.

The captain found himself in space some 25 yards from goal and drilled a shot into the top corner.
