Fans in tickets frenzy at Albion

ALBION will be watched by nearly 10,000 fans over the next two away games.

They will have about 3,900 fans making the trip to Barnsley, with a further 6,000 at Coventry for the FA Cup fifth-round tie.

Tony Mowbray's men will be backed by a huge crowd at Oakwell, made up mainly of 2,000 fans using up free coach tickets.

The club have made a similar free travel gesture over the last five seasons for the visits to Norwich, Wigan, Middlesbrough, Charlton, Sunderland and West Ham, winning all-but one of these six encounters.

Albion chairman Jeremy Peace said: "The backing our away supporters give the team seems to get better every year.

"It really has been a sight to behold this season and the free coach travel is a thank you for their loyal support.

"Their backing is appreciated by everyone at the club - particularly the manager and players - and I'm delighted we'll be taking a huge following to Barnsley for what is a vital game.

"We've also sold our 6,000 allocation for the following Saturday's FA Cup tie at Coventry, which promises to be a great occasion."

Albion have been allocated 3,968 match tickets for the Barnsley trip, priced £20 adults, £12 seniors (aged 60 and over) and under-18s, and £6 under-11s if purchased with a full-paying adult before the day of the game.

Admission for juniors paying on the gate at Oakwell will be £12.

Tickets will remain on general sale at the East Stand box office at The Hawthorns until 2pm tomorrow.
