West Bromwich Albion close in on Jonas Olsson

ALBION are closing in on the £1 million signing of NEC Nijmegen defender Jonas Olsson.

Reports in Sweden are claiming that the centre-half is due to hold talks with Albion and undergo a medical.

Olsson, who can play through the centre of defence or at left-back, is expected to complete the formalities later today.

The 25-year-old has made 93 appearances for the Dutch top-flight club and is a former Swedish under-21 international.
