James Morrison returns to West Bromwich Albion

JAMES Morrison has returned to Albion after failing to shake off an ankle injury while on international duty with Scotland.

The midfielder missed the weekend's 1-0 defeat to Macedonia and was hoping to recover in time for tomorrow's game against Iceland in Reykjavik.

He has failed to make it, even though he trained yesterday.

Baggies coach Peter Grant is confident he will be fit to face West Ham United this Saturday.

"He is going to come back," Grant said today.

"He trained with Scotland yesterday but George (Burley) doesn't want to take a chance on him going into such a big game.

"It's a big plus for us that he's already trained and we are keeping our fingers crossed he will be okay for the weekend because he's been outstanding so far."
