Ryan Donk one of the West Bromwich Albion family

RYAN Donk has set his sights on a permanent move to Albion after admitting he already felt like part of the ‘family’.
The 22-year-old arrived from AZ Alkmaar on a season-long loan just over a week ago.
The Baggies have the option of signing him for an undisclosed fee at the end of the season.
Donk, who helped Holland win the 2007 European Under-21 Championships, admitted he was having few problems settling in.
“This is my fifth day at the club and I love it,” he said.
“At my old club, AZ, everything was really strict.
“Here it’s like a family and I like being part of the family. If it’s possible I would like to stay here.”
Donk hopes to make the same impact as friend and house-mate Gianni Zuiverloon. Zuiverloon joined Albion in a deal worth £3.2million from Heerenveen in July and has impressed in his two Premier League outings.
Donk is confident he can emulate his ‘little brother’, who convinced him to join the Baggies.
“Gianni told me the club wanted to stay in the Premier League and I want to help them,” he said. “He has played a big part in me being here. He is like my little brother.”
Their friendship could yet be put to the test – Donk claims there is little chance of him doing his share of the housework while Zuiverloon is absent during this week’s international break.
Asked whether he intended to do the washing up, Donk continued: “No, I think I’ll leave it for Gianni.”
