“Going into the game on Saturday I was always conscious we weren’t going to be strong defensively because we had Jonas Olsson who didn’t know three or four of the players’ names,” added Mowbray.

“He asked me only this morning what Chris Brunt’s first name was because Chris had been away on international duty and he only trained with him today.

“They’d never met so it wasn’t ideal to play Olsson.

“Meite’s and Zuiverloon’s injuries dictated we were weaker defensively than we have been and I think that showed.

“We were vulnerable defensively, whereas in the first three games I think we’ve been pretty solid.

“I think Jonas knew Chris’ name afterwards!”
