Tigers will be wary of us says Morrison

JAMES Morrison believes Hull City will be worried about Albion tomorrow despite their flying start.

But the midfielder says they will repay the compliment by being just as wary of them.

Hull come to The Hawthorns on the back of enterprising performances at Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs.

But Morrison reckons the Tigers will approach the Baggies carefully after the pair locked horns in last season’s Championship promotion battle.

Both teams are aware of each other’s ability and Morrison believes Hull will adopt more caution than they may have done against some of the Premier League’s bigger names this season.

So far, Hull have taken teams by surprise but this time there is an air of familiarity about the fixture.

“Who’s favourite tomorrow? I am going to say Hull just because they are flying at the moment but I think they will be scared of us because they know what we can do at home,” said Morrison.

“We have to be cautious of them though because of what they’ve been doing.

“They’ll be cautious because of what we did last year and how we played. I’m not saying we are a fantastic team yet but they will be wary of what we can do and how good our players can be on the day.

“Hull’s secret is just teamwork. If you look at their displays everyone is fighting for each other and they have a bit of class in their team now. So we have to be careful and watch their danger players.”

“They might keep it going this season. But I think everyone expects them to slide down. I am not saying they will but other teams might expect them to go because the ones around them are better and they have been in the Premier League longer.”

But Morrison hopes the sudden raised expectations on Hull will see them falter tomorrow.

“They are third in the league and flying high, they will be expecting to win given their start. Hopefully we can prove them wrong,” he said.

“I think we’re pretty close to clicking. We have had some great results and sometimes we have played really well and not got the results we deserve. Sometimes we have played badly and won, like at Middlesbrough. It’s a harsh game. We’re fighting for every game and it is paying off.

“Manchester United wasn’t the result we wanted but we have taken a lot from it. We caught them on a bad day and their class of strikers told in the end. But it’s important we don’t get too carried away, stay positive and not let that result hamper our start.”
