Paul Robinson apology for West Bromwich Albion fans bust-up

PAUL Robinson has apologised for his bust-up with Albion fans following last Saturday’s defeat at Wigan.
The defender lashed out after being heckled by a small number of away supporters after the final whistle.
Robinson’s poor back-header led to Henri Camara’s equaliser in a game Albion went onto lose.
After each game Robinson makes a concerted effort to salute Albion fans but his gesture backfired last weekend, prompting an ugly exchange with some fans.
“I was very passionate at the weekend and very disappointed with myself about the error,” said Robinson.
“That is only because I care and I want this club to go forward and those silly mistakes cost your team. That one really hurt me.
“I think that was just a bit of passion between players and fans, that we both care. They gave me a bit of abuse and I gave them a bit of abuse back, as simple as that.
“I don’t think there was any malice in it.
