West Brom's Craig Beattie keen to have crack at Premier League after being recalled from loan spell at Crystal Palace

CRAIG Beattie hopes his successful loan period at Crystal Palace will fast-track him into Albion’s first-team plans.
The Scottish striker was recalled from south London following Ishmael Miller’s season-ending knee injury.
Beattie had scored five goals in 15 games for Neil Warnock’s men, most recently in their 3-0 win against Southampton on Monday night.
He hopes that the spell at Selhurst Park will put him back on Tony Mowbray’s first-team radar.
“I would like to think that it has been successful,” said Beattie.
“I have been on a good goal trail recently, I think it was three goals in five games, but unfortunately for Palace – but it might turn out to be fortunate for me – I have been recalled due to an injury at West Brom and there is nothing anyone can do about that.
“As it stands I am a West Brom player and they decide what happens.
“At the same time I am looking forward to getting there and having a crack in the Premiership.”
Meanwhile, Albion have reduced ticket prices for their FA Cup third-round home tie with Peterborough United on Saturday, January 3 to £15 adults and £5 concessions.
Due to FA Cup rules, United had to be offered 15 per cent of the stadium’s capacity. Smethwick End season ticket holders need to relocate and seats for the third-round tie are being reserved for season ticket holders in the East Stand, Birmingham Road End and Halfords Lane Stand until 5pm on Wednesday, December 17.
