league and I look back to Sunday when Craig Bellamy and Nicklas Anelka scored.
“Big players are scoring goals in the Premier League and with due respect to Luke, Roman Bednar and Craig Beattie they are not as illustrious of some of the players you see in the Premier League every week.
“It is down to them to make their own reputations and you only do that by sticking the ball in the net.
“If they do that it will benefit the team and give us some confidence we can score goals and hopefully get ourselves moving.
“I’m sure there is a goal just around the corner for Luke and hopefully that will ignite a flame that gets him up and running.
“His time here has been difficult for him but now he has to grasp it.”
Mowbray is also expecting to see a positive reaction from Craig Beattie, who came off the bench at Sunderland last weekend just days after returning from a successful loan spell at Crystal Palace.
“Confidence is the key for him,” added Mowbray.
“He has been playing week in, week out at Palace and sometimes that gives you the extra half-a-yard and extra spring in your step.
“He is working as hard as anybody to force his way back into the starting line-up.”
