The Baggies picked up two vital results against City, within the space of a month, to spark a run of form which kept them in the top flight back in 2004/05.
Albion drew 1-1 at Eastlands thanks to a Richard Dunne own-goal in December ‘04, before claiming their first win under Bryan Robson just a few weeks later thanks to a 2-0 victory.
Robinson, who played in both games, hopes this Sunday’s televised game can give Albion a leg-up back towards Premier League safety.

“We beat Manchester City 2-0 and went on a fantastic run just when we needed it,” recalled Robinson.
“I think it can happen exactly the same for us now. It’s just about getting three points to lift confidence and then you go into the games looking for more.
“You need to go generate a winning mentality, which always helps.
“At the moment it’s loss, loss, loss and that can knock your confidence.
“But it’s still important that we go into every game believing we can win it.”
