He is troubled by the way City are considering mopping up the world’s best players.

“Does money make you happy?” he added.

“If certain players come in with big egos because of who they are, do the other players enjoy it?

“Chelsea aren’t having a great time at the moment and look at all the money they’ve got.

“Robinho is a world class player and on his day he can be out of this world.

“But on another day he is no better than anyone else.

“We don’t look at who is playing, how expensive they are or what country they are from.”
