Craig Beattie: West Brom have will to beat relegation
Dec 29 2008 by Mark Woodward, Birmingham Mail
CRAIG Beattie reflected on Albion’s victory against Spurs and said: “We can stay up.”
The striker scored his first goal for the club this season when he grabbed Albion’s second against Tottenham at The Hawthorns.
Beattie, who now has six goals in total this season following a recent loan spell at Crystal Palace, believes the Baggies are capable of escaping relegation.
They are now within a win of climbing out of the bottom three and just five points behind 11th spot.
“It’s a massive result for us,” said Beattie.
“We know we have got good players at the club with a good manager and good coaches with loads of ideas.
“There is a good feeling at the club and there are plenty of games in this league that we can win.
“We’re confident we can stay in the league.
“The games are all difficult but we’ve got to try to maintain some level of form because we are still well in touch at this stage of the season.
“The table is the closest it has been for years and everybody believes – make no mistakes about it.
