West Bromwich Albion: Fans told to lay off Luke Moore

STEFAN Moore has told critics to get off Luke Moore’s back until his little brother has been given an extended run of games in the Albion first team.

The £3million signing from Villa has only scored once for West Brom and was hauled off at half-time in a disappointing first return to Villa Park last weekend.

But Stefan insists it is unfair to write off his younger brother’s chances of being a success at The Hawthorns until he has made a series of starts for Tony Mowbray’s strugglers.

“He wants to do well for West Brom,” said Stefan, another Villa cast-off, who is now with Kidderminster Harriers in the Blue Square Premier Division.

“He got his first goal for them the other week and he’s had a few starts. It’s always hard when you don’t get your first goal so it’s nice that he’s got it now.

“Someone asked me the other day ‘How come he hasn’t done well?’ He hasn’t had the games, so he hasn’t had the chance to do well.

“He’s started a handful of league games I think this season, so you can’t really judge someone until they’ve played 10 or 12 games.”
